SPF
This week, Kristine over at Random and Odd has assigned the following:
My Puzzle
Could someone please tell me where all the dirty laundry comes from?
My Best
My current best, most favorite pinot noir in my best-est Riedel wine glass. It just tastes better when it is in a great glass!
Something Old

My grandfather's "Daily Aide" from 1943. The Daily Aide was the precursor to the Day Planner or the Palm Pilot. Reading it gives me an insight to a man I never knew as he died when I was a baby. His sense of humor really comes through. If you look closely at the first picture of the book it says "I shit my pants today." I laughed out loud when I first read that.

That is amazing that you have that planner. Probably 99.5% of these things get thrown out; I know mine do, but what a treasure they become. I saw that before I read it about the "accident." He was pretty honest, huh? Probably he's laughing at us now. Oh, laundry - everyone's least favorite chore. I guess it's our perception because it never ends. Never.

I love the daily aide, but what I love more is that your granfather had no problem uh...letting it all out...what a true trasure!

    I played too!

Love that Daily Aide! One of the MANY odd things that I do is to go to book sales and look for old books that contain handwritten notations. Its a window into someone I will never know, but can try to understand.

Have a great week! With that wine it shouldn't be that hard! BTW...I'm a Shiraz and Merlot fan:-)

    I played as well!

I am the only one producing laundry in my house, and I still have to wonder how I produce so much! LOL! What a neat way to get to know your grandfather. Great SPF!

I thought it said "I shot my pants today" and I was trying to figure out how that could happen. Thanks for the correct translation. ;-)

Oh, I came here looking for a Saturday Photo. I guess yours is not up yet. I probably won't be able to revisit your blog, so I will just tell you that mine is up.

That is so funny! I read the "I shit my pants today" before I read your note. What a great thing to have and in his handwriting! I totally agree about the glass thing. I am a wine glass snob just like my Mum!! LOL

I'll be back later to catch up. Thanks for making sure I am still alive in blogworld!
