What Is Monday Poetry Reading?
Just as the name suggests, every Monday, participants make a recording of themselves reading a poem. It can be a new poem that they've just written, it can be a classic from Shakespeare or anything in between. The recording is posted to the participants' blog so that readers can listen to it.
The poem I am reading is one I often quote to my son, every time we hear the wind blowing.
Who Has Seen the Wind?
Who has seen the
wind?
Neither I nor you.
But when the leaves hang trembling,
The wind is passing through.
Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I.
But when the trees bow down their heads,
The wind is passing by.
