Musing On Movies
A commercial endeavor "I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed."~~Say Anything... What do you think of theaters showing commercials before the movie? Not trailers, but for other things, like sodas and sneakers and cars? Do you think they should start rolling the commercials before the advertised start time of the movie so that the movie itself starts on time, or is it okay to start showing commercials at the advertised start time, even if the film itself won't start for a few more minutes? I don't want to go to the theater to see commercials. If the movie house started rolling the ads prior to the scheduled movie start, many movie-goers would have to find their seats in the dark. As a rule, I am early to a movie so I can choose the seat I want. I detest scrambling around in the dark, running the risk of tripping or stepping on someone's feet.
