This week's question, suggested by Jeanne, is here by popular demand. Thank you, ladies!
- What is the most beautiful book you own? "Sister Wendy's 1000 Masterpieces" It is a stunning anthology of Western painting that covers all the key artists and movements, from medieval religious painting to abstract expressionism. It also has a special binding techinique called Smyth-sewn--a technique that not only guarantees long life, but allows pages to lie flat so readers don't have to hold pages down to read them.
- In what way is it beautiful? Is it the illustrations, the binding, a combination of these, or something else? The illustrations of the art are just stunning.
- How often do you look at it, browse through it, read it? It sits on my coffee table in my living room so I pick it up now and again to look through it and notice a new piece of art.
