Honestly, I am baffled by the news story out of Brazil where locals found a two-month-old baby in a plastic bag thrown into a lake. What kind of monster would do that to her own child? It is beyond my comprehension... It is amazing that the infant lived through the ordeal. I have no idea how she would have survived without drowning or suffocating. What is puzzling is the fact that the baby was dressed nicely and even had a ribbon in her hair. Whoever placed her in the bag obviously took effort to get her ready, just to drown her? The happy part is, the baby did survive and now people are lining up outside of the hospital where the baby is being kept to adopt her. If the mother didn't want the baby in the first place, she could have just given her up and not risked the poor child's life as she did.
