We Think We're Fun
Went for a great bike ride with the kid this afternoon. It was beautiful out, perfect riding weather. I finally got around to airing up the tires in my mountain bike. After our ride, we shared some water and conversation. I asked him what he thought about Bush and Iran, and if we were going to attack. He replied, "I don't want you to think I'm being negative, but he's a hot-head and we just might go in and blow them up." I told him I didn't think that was being negative, but perhaps realistic. He said, "yeah, saying each day brings us closer to death, now that's negative." I don't think that is necessarily negative either, but realistic also. Just some of us are closer to death than others, and we don't readily know which one of us it is. I tell you, we're more fun than a barrel of monkeys sometimes!
